We have set up a new business unit, whose objective is to make various types of sweets. The great popularity of this product has shifted the focus of our work from individuals to companies, the latter now standing for 80% of our business.
In the beginning, our candy cakes were very popular for children’s birthdays, baptisms, and weddings. Later, we began to supply other formats—from candy brochettes to planters and Christmas trees.
All employees of this Unit have completed the food handling course to ensure that all products are impeccably presented and meet the strictest standards of quality and cleanliness.
Our efforts have been rewarded with clients such as El Corte Inglés [large department store] and Grupo VIPS [international restaurant group] that trust in us to be their regular suppliers, which means we meet their high expectations of quality and reliability.
In turn our employees are outsourced by the candy makers Miguelañez and Oomuombo to package their products. Thanks to a mechanized assembly line designed by our production team, we have been able to hire numerous employees who need more support. But, because of these adaptations, they have reached an enviable level of productivity—an output of 590,000 units per year.
